Unit Flagged; HELP!

Hello people. I am a newbie and I just want to ask what Flag Unit means?

 I think it means that when you go to the tactical map, rather than center on wherever you last took an action (created or moved a unit), it will instead center on the flagged unit.

The advantage being that if you have one main army with smaller secondary ones, that the game would focus you on your most important army rather than any other one.
