I think that dice rolls and random chance things should be limited in the game. As in, for example, if one army is triple another army's size, then the outcome cannot be more than, say, a 3-to-4 or a 2-to-5 loss. So even if the larger army loses, it can still easily recuperate and stand a chance in a second battle. It would not make sense for the loss to be 1-to-6 or 0-to-7, because that is completely illogical and unheard of in real life. If the battle system dice rolls were reworked that way, it would be less frustrating to winning players while still keeping the random chance and possibility for the underdog to turn the tide around. |

Or at least make the higher outcomes rarer, and 5-4 the most common. And by rare, I mean once every 250 battles or some such number. |
