I've never had to report anyone yet, but it seems that if you make a report with appropriate evidence the mods take care of it and no discussion is needed. However, the instructions on what to do if you need to add something to someone else's post in the moderation section have been specified by Vivi:
Now, to respond to your original post:
It is no discussion ... therefore don't discuss ...simple enough. I don't see a need to create a reporting system like you suggest because that suggests and unfriendly atmosphere, makes abuse easier, and doesn't actually allow for the presentation of evidence like the moderation forum does. |

Zetaboards does include a report function, however it has been turned off, and the power to turn it back on doesn't rest in my hands. If you want it to be private, pm a mod, as Niels said above me. As for the no discussing, that would be the point behind making it no discussion. the only thing that would come out of being able to discuss reports, would be flaming, trolling, and people teaming up on others. Therefore, it is no discuss, and will likely stay that way. Kapso |

The report forums have thus far worked fine - as long as people read the rules (which they should do). Why fix something that already works? I agree with Kaspo and Niels, there is too much potential for abuse in your proposed method. -Aves |
