its really making me angry that my units dont flank when i want them to

there are two units in the same spot that are both in range of one specific unit, the opposing units attacks, no flank

how does flanking work??

If they are on the exact same place, it generally wont work. They have to be inside each other's circle, but not on top of each other when one is attacked.

I've had the same problem. They sometimes just don't flank, even when they're in each other's circles and not on top of one another. But I find that it's a problem once every few times. This happens to the defender, too. Units just don't flank.

well, you can try again soon. Thanks for the compliment.

As for flanking it is rather peculiar what is happening. That trick you played on me was one I try to use a lot so I am keen to know whether or not I can continue to use it. I believe it has worked in the past so I am a bit confused right now.
